identify what is claimed to be early issey miyake label

We have a short coat/jacket with label identified as "bought in Soho when Soho was becoming." Claims it's an Issey Miyake label. Woven label, pink on white, with the words in lower case "maki new york." I am very skeptical. Might be circa 1975.
