I'm a Newbie..What Era Is This Dress?

Hi all,

I fell in love with this dress. Its in great shape..just needs a few seam repairs. My best guess is 1930s? The tag is faded but it says 'Monte Carlo'. Can't wait to wear it..but I want to be able brag about the era. lol

Aha! Pics now displaying - good.

Lovely print, looks like a '40s house dress or dressing gown - does it have any shoulder pads? Do you have a close up of the neckline, it's hard to see the collar. I think it's probably early '40s.

Is it just two tabs at the front or does it go all the way around?

Just the two tabs in the front..there is a belt that ties at the back.

Does it say Monte Carlo Fasteners on the label. Can you see? I have a 30s dress from that company in my shop. The label is a little different:

Its very faint but I think it does say 'Fasteners'. Im guessing this could be mid to late 30s. What do u think?

It looks 40s to me and would have been a hostess gown or lounging robe.
Pretty print and coloring.

Since the labels are different, it could be more into the early 40s.
