I\'m Back!! The NEW SITE LOOKS AWESOME!!!
Wow! I absolutely LOVE the new VFG home page, whoever did the work did a fantastic job!
My trip to upstate N.Y was great, found alot of fabulous stuff and I SURVIVED driving through the mountains this time with no panic attack, YAY!
The old building we bought , is another story......
MONEY PIT! I told my husband when he first saw it that he should have ran real fast back to Florida and just chalk it off as a $3650.00 loss....
Just a few bare facts, crumbling foundation, holes in the upstairs floors, plaster coming off the walls and RACCOON POOP! I was scared to walk around it but my husband was in his GLORY saying he could fix all this with no problem and has so far repaired the crumbling foundation, installed gutters so it won't happen again, started some exterior repair and painting and excavated the land taking 15 truckloads of dirt, old cars, junk and overbrush off the property, all in 3 weeks!
Thank god the roof was replaced before we bought it so no more water will damage the floors upstairs. I do have to say that I trust his judgement and that he will restore it back into a marketable building and will probably make some money in the long run.
We will probably close our house up in Florida and rent a place near the building next April for a few months so he can finish the work that needs to be done and I can shop and do my eBay.
Anyway.....I will be back later with a question about a 1940's gab coat...
