It talks about copies. Has anyone seen or do they have an example of that label? Just curious about that.

Mr. McCardell stated that the company had produced items for sale. The company made an announcement about the line they were releasing. Then the heirs of Claire McCardell took them to court and prior to the court proceedings the company went belly up. Mr. McCardell did not have an example of the label.

When I checked the trademark registration for the name "Claire McCardell" there was no label present in that information. We don't know if they ever actually sold any of that clothing line. If they did, however, it was in the spring and summer of 1996.

That's all we've been able to dig up about it.
