Is anyone here familiar with older overseas brands?

I found this really nice coat at a thrift store the other day. I'm pretty sure it's vintage. But I don't know nearly enough to say for certain what decade it's from. I liked the sort of 1920s-esque silhouette. To be clear, no, I don't think it's from the 1920s. But I have reason to believe it's at least late 50s or older.

To be honest, I bought it pretty fast. The store was about to close, and I didn't want to have to come back the next day. Getting to that place was a bit of a hike. I got home and got a better look at the coat and I realized a few things:

-Aside from the brand name, there's no other labels. No content fiber labels, no care instructions, no size. Those could have been cut off, but I don't see any sign of other tags being removed.

-The brand label says its from Italy. Messina, specifically. Which might be why I'm having trouble pulling up any information at all.

- The fur on the collar and cuffs might be real. The back surface of the fur on the cuffs feels kind of leathery (and slightly tacky). If it is real, then that would surprise me, because the coat was pretty cheap.

If anybody could add anything new, I'd be happy to know.

This is an international forum so what is "overseas" to you, may be quite local to someone else here. :)
Lovely coat!

I guess so. Either way, I can't change the thread title now. Just wanted to know if someone might know anything about my new find. But, thank you. I like my coat very much!

The flaring cut could indicate 1950s. If there are shoulder pads, are they firm or squishy (technical term :hysterical: ), large or small?

'Confezioni' means it's ready to wear

Yes, it seems to be coming up under translations related to "manufacturing": packing, dressmaking, tailoring. Things like that. So, I'm guessing Margh. (Margherita, maybe?) Bellamacina was a small boutique of sorts. If it was more well known I think there would be more info easily available.

Actually, the fit is more boxy, not much in the way of flare. That's why I felt like it was kind of 1920s-esque. No Shoulder pads here!
