received_10209302115300944.jpeg Hi, my name is Latica, i am helping my MIL (who is helping a friend) go through an estate. We have found this beauty (hoping picture attached). After lots of googling, I am still at square one. Has anyone seen anything like this, or know of where I might find some Information. Unfortunately, I was unable to see any makers marks that day.
    Thank You for any insight!

I would call it a dress form, probably used for formal dresses.

I would agree it looks like a custom-order 1950s-1960's dressmaker's dummy especially for evening dresses.

Yes, a dress form. I have one from the 1930s, covered in worn pink silk moire' fabric. Like yours, mine is a tiny size.

    You have a nice find.

When I was in Milan last week, a store had similar dress forms in the window with paper pattern dresses. I had forgotten that this is frequently done in Italy--sometimes on regular dress forms and sometimes on forms similar to this one which show the pattern or dress nicer. It might have been used by a dressmaker who specialized in evening or bridal designs.
