Is this a signature on these earrings?

Does anyone recognize these marks as a signature? I'm guessing it is but have no idea whose. Please share your view. Many thanks,

I see "Sterling", but can't tell if the other marks are a signature! It does look like it could be, but it's difficult to decipher. Sure hope someone will come along and be able to help you.

Thank you for your thoughts. Now I see that the two earrings are too similar for the scribbling to be random or just marring. Looks like it begins with M and ends with K, unless that refers to the last name. "Mal . . ."?

Sterling indicates that the earrings are made from 925 silver.

You may have already tried this but a strong jewellers loop might be able to see the sig more clearly
