I adore the Thin Man movies, and often describe a hat as a "Myrna Loy" hat when I sell or display it. I will see if I can find time to take pix of some of the 30's hats, but in the mean time, here is a very early 1940s hat, with late 30's influences.

I LOVE everything! The '30's and early '40's are my favorite periods. I watched "The Thin Man" recently. It was released in 1934. Nora (Myrna Loy) wore a stunning bias cut black gown with a humongous dress clip at the V neckline. I can picture this unsigned Eisenberg:

The first Thin Man movie is simply one of the greatest movies of all time!

As the co-chair of the Site Committee I'm so glad to see this early era isn't impossible to illustrate still...that we haven't painted everyone into a corner. Leave it to you all to have not only 30s items, but spectacular 30s items!
