Juel Park Peignoir

Aquarian Vintage

Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone could give me some input on this gorgeous Juel Park creation?

I want to sell it online in my shop but wanted to make sure I was advertising it correctly as far as the era.

I'm guessing from the 40's, but I don't have a lot of expertise in that decade.

Let me know what you think

Thanks - Jennifer

I see you sold it as a 1940's set anyway (well done!) so your question is a tad academic now. I'd have dated it a little later on the basis that it has the later label design (their 40s typeface was different and had 'Beverly Hills, Calif' under) as well as some of the finishing features of the nightie. Either way, it is entirely gorgeous and highly sought-after :)

Hi thanks so much for getting back to me. I think you're right, later than the 40s for sure.

Here is a photo from the label inside of the nightgown. The other label was from inside the robe.

The dry clean tag looks newer. This definitely vintage but definitely not 40's.

Dry clean label leads me to believe early 70s at best. There was alot of "70s doing 40s" fashion back then. Looks like they have a facebook page - did you try contacting them through that to see if they have any label archives for their shop?
