Justice Ginsburg got style. Is she sporting vintage? (gloves)

Sure are ringers for vintage if they're not!

I can imagine the black robe gets a little dull on occasion...I like her little crochet collar she added, so very fem!
 
Thank you so much for posting this, Brenda! I always think of her in her robes, and big glasses, but now that I look beyond that, I love her style. Wel, except for the fur hat with the flaps.

But I'm willing to cut her some slack for weather and practicality.
We're so inundated with images of Hollywood celebrities trying vainly to resist aging that it's great to see someone doing it gracefully and making it look effortless. I just did a quick google, and she was born the same year as Joan Rivers. I know who I'd rather emulate.
 
She really loves accessories - scarves, the crochet collar, and her charming gloves. I believe her gloves must be vintage - I have a pair identical to the first pair shown. Perhaps they were passed down to her from her mother.

I was thinking yesterday how wearing gloves (except in cold weather or with formal wear) has become so uncommon - it seems like a great idea - not only does it dress up an outfit - it also protects hands from the sun.
 
I love gloves too .. i wonder if they are heirloom.. perhaps her mother's and sentimental?? lol.. i love romantic stories, so that would be fun.

Diane Keaton wears alot of gloves too.. i think they are also great for hiding "old hands" that show age spots and large veins as happens to us.
