Is there a way to date a kimono/robe? I picked this up today and I'm not even sure it's vintage, although it's very pretty. If it were vintage, I'd expect it to be no earlier than the 70s, maybe late 60s as I picked up a decent amount of other clothing from that era. The material feels synthetic - polyester (satin) perhaps? I know it is not a kimono in the true sense and that is either for tourists or just a robe in the style of. Thanks
It has a 70s look to me with those colors and most likely a polyester satin. It's difficult to say without touching it but I know I have often seen this type of robe in that fabric.
