I know you can't price items, but if you could point me in the right direction. A friend of mine is an appraiser. He most of the time knows his stuff, but when it comes to vintage clothing, he asks me for help. I've searched and looked through lots of pictures online, but can't find anything that would be close enough to compare. Anything you are able to share with me would be appreciated. Please excuse the bad pictures.

It's a late 20s evening dress and they range wildly in price - you should be able to find similar by looking for 'black beaded 20s evening' in searches. Quality of workmanship (hand beaded or machine beaded), intricacy of design, size, and condition, condition, condition are all factors in pricing these. Unless labelled or 'out of this world' spectacular, the price on these has actually gone down over the last twenty years mostly because of good quality reproductions like those used in the film The Artist, which were made in India and are available online.
