Hi there!

I recently bought a vintage needlecord Laura Ashley dress. The label says it was "Made in Carno Powys UK"

I can find sooo many dresses online made in "Carno Wales UK" but no Powys! I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on this label and an idea of the date :)

Hiya, Powys is the region of Wales where the town of Carno is. This is likely a late 70s dress and it most resembles the label in the label resource from the late 70s.
 
Hiya! Yes, I am from Wales. My Uncle actually went to school in Dowlais with Laura Ashley herself :)

Thanks for your help. It is very similar to the one in the label resource, I just wondered if there was a reason for the slightly different wording
