Lisiting Spring stuff?

It depends on you and who your customers are.

I would start getting it out and looking at it, repairing, cleaning.

The things that are transitionary items sell right now - the not quite spring but not quite heavy winter coats. And remember to get out your VLV stuff. I would wait to list shorts and really summery things til a bit later.

But also remember that people in Australia are just thinking about fall so if you have a shop that is not auctions, list it all year.
 
It may seem early to think about spring but people are. In fact, they are already thinking about summer! I sold yet another vintage bathing suit today!

If you are thinking spring & eBay, I would wait. If you are thinking spring & mall, why not! You can always move it over to eBay as the season gets closer.

That's the nice part about the mall shop, you can have all sorts of seasons any time of the year!

In my mall store, I've pretty much stopping putting in any new winter items. I've been pretty much listing trans-seasonal things, and some nice designer items that people will be looking for all the time.

I have started the process of posting spring and summer things, though, as people are starting to buy them. I sold a great pair of Lilly Pulitzer shorts last week.

To paraphrase Jimmy Buffet, "It's summertime somewhere."

I just started sorting through my spring stuff ~ will start listing in the next day or two.

And I agree about the Mall.....all seasons work there! :)
 
I just listed 18 spring skirts and dresses and only 3 didn't sell, so it may be time. I had to go ahead as that is all I have in stock right now.

Bathing suits will be next!

I listed a bathing suit on eBay a couple of weeks ago and it sold with a few bids. I think the Spring buying season is in full swing.

Like Lizzie, I'll be getting busy listing some cool lightweight transitional stuff. I've got a few cool vintage designer sweaters for this weekend in the Mall. An old West Germany Mondi, a Jaeger, an Isaac Mizrahi, a few other other cute ones!
 
I just bought a ton of spring things, but didn't pass up a few excellent winter things because i would never find em again. It will be cooler in Australia, but there are somethings people will buy all year - esp if they fall in love with something or are travelling to a different climate than the one that they live in. especially in the mall, why not list everything you have because you never know who is looking for what.

Just wanted to mention that I sold a swimsuit last week to someone who is doing a spring musical - that's another market to always keep in mind, the theater folks! If I recall correctly, I sold some summery things last winter to theater folks as well. Just something to keep in mind!
