I've never handled a garment made of this fabric - what is it most likely made of? I'm guessing that it's rayon. How would you describe it?

Brain freeze :) - how would you describe the collar?

I'm guessing that it's early 60's - yeah or nay?

    Thanks for your help!

    :)

Does the collar have fur on the edge Carolyn? And does it also do up
so that it is like a standing collar? If so, I would show it both ways.

I think ribbon knit garments are so cool....love the textural details to this type of fabric!

    Early 60s I would say.

    Sue -

Yes, the collar is edged in dark brown mink (bonus!) and I also have pics with the collar buttoned, which brings it up around the neck somewhat.

    :)

Very classsy , indeed. If the collar can be worn up or down, I would call it a Convertible Cape collar.

Does it become a portrait collar? This is so sweet. I love it!
