I know nothing about fashion, let alone vintage fashion. I have come across a leather jacket that belonged to my father, and have had zero luck in researching it's origins or value. All I know is that is was purchased in the early 1970's at a local mall (Pittsburgh suburbs). I am not thinking that it is worth much but would like to know if it is worth something to someone before I send to goodwill or salvation army. The only tag reads standard sportswear (pics below) not a brand found in the archives of this site. I have found some evidence that, that was the name of (the/a) store at a local mall. Any advice or direction on where to find answers would be greatly appreciated. There are a few vintage clothing stores in and around town that I have thought of visiting but did not want to go and find out after the fact it was worth something more than I got. I am not trying to get rich or anything and I am pretty sure that it is the only item of clothing in my house that might be worth something, but if it is worth something I could use the cash. I am not going to ever wear it, maybe Halloween, so even if someone here has interest I would consider giving it up for the cost of shipping. The pictures are not great, but it has very little wear, a bit dusty and I don't thing my dad wore it much if at all. Thanks in advance for any help JP
