Loomtogs Velvet Pedal Pushers? Dating Help Please

Hi all, I have this fab pair of loom togs pedal pushers, in black velvet (difficult to photograph).

I am trying to date them and have seen loomtogs clothing dated from the 40's to 60's with a couple of adverts from the late 50s.

I'm also curious as to the function of the buttons which are on the inside above a very wide long hem?

Pictures below, much appreciated :)

I had researched Loomtogs at one point in the past (see this old thread https://forums.vintagefashionguild.org/threads/loomtogs-shorts.69455/)
which has a link to a bunch of info about them. Your label is the same as mine was so they could be from the 40s though I don’t know much about this style of pants.
Also I think this style Talon zipper dates from the 30s to the mid 40s

Thanks so much for replying and for the info, and those are some super cute shorts! So more likely to be 40s like yours then huh awesome!. I don’t suppose you know anything about the internal buttons?

Where is the zipper located? The side or back.
And do the bottoms flare out or hang more straight?
I saw something not too long ago, where the pants had a piece to button on to make them full length.
I am not sure if this would be the same for yours though.

Oohh that’s interesting. The zip is at the side. It has an extra piece of fabric to create a pocket when the zip is done up. The leg is fairly slim but kicks out at the hem (outside of leg) and also has a slit in the outer sides.
