Could anyone give me some links or information about Lorraine lingerie? I would really like to learn more about this label. Thanks!

If you can post a picture of the label it might help pinpoint information about it.

I found mention of Lorraine Lingerie at least as far back as 1938, when I saw a letter to the editor of a Chicago newspaper and which was signed "Samuel Cook, Lorraine Lingerie Shop." By 1940 I saw an ad for "slightly irregular" Lorraine Lingerie at Marshall Field's in Chicago. I next saw a Chicago-newspaper blurb announcing O'Bryan Brothers hired North Advertising to promote Lorraine Lingerie, which they owned. A 1979 classified ad in a Chicago newspaper sought a fashion buyer for "O'Bryan Bros., Inc; Lorraine Lingerie; 4256 W. Belmont, Chicago; 60641." An online 2008 newspaper story about a related farm family near Chicago stated: "Jay O'Bryan owned Lorraine Lingerie." I then found an excerpt from a 2010 National JobBank book, that is a "Complete Employment Guide to Over 20,000 American Companies" and one entry was for: "LORRAINE LINGERIE; 4220 West Belmont avenue, Chicago, Ill. 60641, 773/283-3000; CONTACT: Human Resources; DESCRIPTION" Manufactures ladies' loungewear and lingerie; CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS LOCATION: This location."

Of course, sorry about that. I saw Lorraine mentioned in the Lingerie guide so I didn't think to post pictures.

I have had lovely Lorraine slips. And I probably still have one or two. I will check for labels.
