I was wondering if anyone knows when these lot / size labels where first used? I have this robe which I had no doubt about being (early) 40s, maybe late 30s, but then I discovered the lot / size label. I never thought those where around back then.
The label has faded a lot but you can still clearly read the words Lot and Size, and then I think it says "Made of Rayon" at the bottom. It also has a label that says "Made in U.S.A." (And there used to be another embroidered label behind the USA label but it has been cut out.)
