Can anyone tell me how early the Red Vernis bags and such started in manufacture. I have 2 small bags that have all the markings and materials correct but no Date Code anywhere. I have read that before 1980 there were no codes. Is this correct? I don’t want to try and sell knockoffs.

I don't know the year date codes were added, but c. 1980 sounds correct -- it was around there. SO what date were yours?
