MASSACRED Lillie Rubin

I need comforting!!!
I was happily anticipating a box of clothing coming my way with a Lillie Rubin black beaded cocktail dress. Upon arrival and inspection I see that an insane criminal seamstress has altered it (but left the fabric) by shortening the bust and darting the back...and cut the label in half and resewed it to fit the more narrow upper back...CUT THE LABEL IN HALF!! What do I do with the dress now? Me, I'm going to have a big stiff drink and contemplate flinging something off the balconey. Poor little dress!!

darkly yours, Melissa

I have had that happen a few times... Ughhhhh..... I have an antique wedding kimono with 10 inches cut off the bottom because a fashionista thought it would look better...

Feeling your pain...

The MORNING AFTER...

Feeling a bit more stoic (albeit just a wee bit hung over.) I tried to post a photo last night (not for the faint hearted) but it wouldn't take...is that a function of the water cooler, or do I now have a FRESH TECHNICAL HELL to navigate?

Melissa, this site is somewhat particular about the directions of / and \ for hosted images. If you store files in a folder on your hosting, you will need to flip the last \ to be / when posting an image.

Thanks Hatfeathers,

I won't try to post the photo here, it would only sadden us all...the deceased label is pinned to the page of L. Ruben labels I printed off from this blesssed site and filed...thanks to Maggie and Chris for supporting me in my dark hour.

On to better boxes!! Melissa

p.s. The skirt is really sweet -- five tiers of beaded cuteness...what is the proper protocol for the victim...can I make a skirt/ should I reconstitute the cadavre as best I can/ should there be a funeral in the garden with a camilia planted on top?
