McCardell Sighting at Local Antique Mall

I posted this on another thread, about how I had been reading about Claire McCardell, and then the next day ran across one!

Here it is:

Black velveteen with side opening that buttons. Side pockets built into the side seams. And I don't know if you can tell, but the shoulders are gathered. The dress look great on, but I'm not sure if I'll be wearing it or not. I'd hate to ruin it, and I am, unfortunately, a bit of a slob:(
