Can anyone help better identify the Whiting & Davis mesh bag in the photos. Would like to know how old this is and if it is worth anything. Thanks

Is the metal turning green, as it looks in your photos, or is that worn paint or enamel? It appears to be silver plated or ? and the silver has worn to brass and verdigris has set in. This will be difficult to remove and does affect the value greatly even if it is removed. Not sure on the date, maybe 'Teens to 1920s.
