I just saw a close up and the coat and dress appear to be a lace of some sort.

I think the boys over at the Fedora Lounge will be upset that Obama is without hat.
I thought Michelle's outfit looked brocade, too. Her necklace is pretty, looks similar to some 40s ones I have. She just looks so pretty in yellow tones...she's so bright and shiny! :sunshine:

I missed getting a good shot in perfect lighting, when they were seeing the Bush couple off.
My only complaint is the flimsy, narrow chiffon bow flapping about, but that breeze was pretty strong.

Here are some great pictures. It is gold-yellow lace with a jeweled collar on the dress. I LOVE the green gloves! AND green shoes!

Shoes are different (but compatible) shade of green. I'm so glad she didn't get all matchy matchy with this outfit. She rules!

Aretha, the poetry the music, and yes the brocade lace a stunner, with green gloves, so refreshing, the kids taking vides and making faces, really lovey, a new america..
