My dramatic look and a Party Outfit

Again I have to share, hopefully you agree that this year my image as Pauline has improved and also my confidence with my look has greatly improved in the last few months

A couple of week ago I decided to show Sue (my next door neighbour) my new slightly radical image which she not seen before.
Her car was parked about 60 feet way down the read from my drive and while she putting some bags into it I walked up to her

and not to make Sue jump I spoke to her before i was too close she looked up her jaw visually dropped with surprises at my new look in a positive way, She said that she liked various aspects my hair styles, top and shoes and makeup after a little chat she drove off with a wave.

Tonight was slightly different as I was not as confidence with my look as you see so I decided not to talk down the road.
I have always wonder if Sue was just been open minded and polite to me or genuinely interested, to night I found out the answers as i spoke to Sue from a distance and she finished putting her bag on the back seat she must have realized I was apprehensive at walking too far from my gate looking like this, instead she close the car door and walked up the road a few years to meet me and see my new look.
she said wow that's different it's a nice party outfit, again admiring my shoes and another hair style again we chatted for a few moment and i said it's a little short and Sue said "yes it is but it's a party outfit" and in a way sounded like she approved of it in the context I was wearing it, which shocked me!
Sue drove off with the usual wave and that was a good nights fashion experience for me.

Pauline,

I have to say that I love your new avatar photo, with the wine colored jacket and the t-strap shoes. I feel I would invite you to go shopping and take some tea in that outfit. Classic. And you look very feminine in that one too. P.S. Nice legs girlfriend!

Barbara

Thank you very much I acept your invetation like a shoot if we lived near lol , if I ever really go out in public the avatar one will be the one.

Pauline- you are fantastic! Keep on being the best you can be! And I agree with Barbara- your avatar photo is perfection!

I Cannot work out the shade or styleof top to go under that jacket , that my problem at the moment with that outfit :violins:

I agree with Barbara, the new avatar photo is great!

That party dress is pretty short, but the dark stockings help create a longer line. When I was in my 20s, my criteria for length was that if I could sit down in it without exposing myself, it was long enough. Now in my 50s, I still have the legs for it, but not enough motivation to maintain the needed vigilance. You haven't had the fun of showing off your legs before. Actually, my feet don't tolerate heels very well anymore - you have all my respect!

Your body language in photos is looking more confident, so that's great. One suggestion - in the minidress photo, I notice you have a bit of what my dad always called a "farmer's tan" - he was an old farmer and his was particularly pronounced on his upper arms from wearing short sleeved shirts. Your tanline is most noticeable below your neck - it looks like you wear veeneck shirts a lot. Some body makeup will help blend that down lower onto your chest - tanlines on women tend to be lower and/or more diffuse.

Hope it's OK to give this kind of feedback. :bisou:

Feeb back is great! also notice my handa lol, I work outside a lot , i look into some body makeup asp thank you, I gettig more confident all the time but it's a slow job , thank you

I like a short hen line but it not gettiing to tsarty with it that the thing for me,

lol pauline, I too was gonna nag on you about that farmers tan :-)......but hey I have it about the same lol.... my v neck is just a little deeper ans sleeves a little shorter lol... all I can say is tan in the real sun shen you can..... or maybe use a self tanner to help even? but that stuff will come off on your clothes...

I too LOVE your avatat.... gorgeous.... I am thrilled that your neighbor is recieving you well :-) old people (no offence) are funny. We tend to expect them to be conservative and I tell you what they seem to be some of the most opinionated, yes, but kind people around.... theyve seen it all and love to see it all.

I hope it continues to go well. Living in hiding is not living at all.

also on a side note, do you wear a girdle of any kind? if not you might like to try one, they are a pain at first but I love mine, I feel naked wihtout one wheter vintage or modern. I have a nice modern one that is like shorts and comes all the way up just under my bust. It was 16 dollars at walmart (do yall have those?) and it helps with my posture and tummy... I hope I am not offending you by suggesting... just after kids my skin seems so loose and with the girdle on I have a curvy waist again lol.

well, ty for keeping us posted,,, and please continue to do so!

Jut some thoughts on the black dress....
1) How about some hot pink stocking.
2) I bold necklace. NO PEARLS.
3) How about a bold short punky spiky hair do. Annie Lennox?

Last night I was cruising the web cane across a photoshoot of a man sporting womans hair styles. This was on a high fashion site.... I really like it.... Now I have to remember where I saw it.

Keep on rockin it!

Ummm, my only critical comment would be that I don't like the greyish hair style too much. It ages you.

I agree, I really like that blond style you have in your avatar. It's really pretty and suits you!

The grey wig although good quality it's more a fun wig I not sure I would ever go out in public with it , it works better with vintage I feel.
