I share the same thought--great for a wedding dress. And this fabulous champagne color would go so well with a vintage wedding ring w/champagne colored diamonds.
I'll do some research as I'd like to know who might be responsible for the design of this one. When I have time to take photos of the interior construction, I'll show you that, too.
sorry, the dress I was thinking of was actually a Nettie Rosenstein! That said, the Carnegie gown I had was easily 50s (bought by Rose McGowan, no less) and like I said, no face on the label.
Ah...Nettie...Hattie...? It's so easy to mix up these names sometimes, Ang. I'll take a look at your dress.
First, I wanted to show you guys the inside construction of the bodice.
That panel with the elastics attached is the center of the bodice. Those straps go around the back to snap. Then, the arms go into the armholes and you zip 'er up. Very unique construction. (At least I've never seen anything like that.) As I said, it was an epic fail as I kept thinking the elastic went around the neck like a halter top. I was like, "Who wants this ugly elastic on her neck? Is this a dress exclusively for women with long hair or someone who wears a scarf all the time" Tee hee.
