My great grandmother's locket?

I am sorry in advance for posting this none fashion item however I thought only the wealth of knowledgable people on here may be able to pinpoint the date of this photo found in a locket that belonged to my great aunt. It could therefore be my great grandmother or great great grandmother. These hairstyles seemed to have ran through from the 1890's until the First World War.

It might be easier to see the garments and hairstyle if you are able to take it out of the locket to photograph?

That full and upswept hairstyle looks post 1900 to me. However, I'm definitely not the most knowledgeable about such things, so please wait for other opinions.

She has a long ringlet coming down the side with a strange ancient figure head that was obviously behind her when the photo was taken. If it's my great grandmother, she was born around 1887. Unfortunately the photo is so fragile, I did try taking it out, but to be honest it's cut exactly the same size as the heart. This is without the glass on.
