Mystery embroidered symbol

I have a black coat with this embroidered symbol on the side pocket. The label has been cut out of the jacket so I am not sure of the designer. I am hoping that someone can help me to identify this symbol. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It looks familiar I just did a search for "symbols sports label logos pix" got a lot if images of logos..
Maybe try and look through (sorry it brought back such a big return, I didn't have time)

Oh, by the way it isn't sportswear. I've attached a pic of the jacket.

We still can't really see the jacket well.
Can you please give us photos which are sized approximately 500 x 500 pixels, showing the front, side with the marking and the interior.

I have found out that it is French and is from the 80's. I hope that is helpful.

I was going to say that it looked 1980s before I read your post. Still haven't a clue though what the embroidery on the pocket stand for though.
