Hello! I have this necklace that looks like a vintage style but i think it might be more contemporary.

I love the colors on that necklace. Your instincts are right--that lobster clasp tells us it's a more contemporary necklace. But the "beads" are reminiscent of some of the older pressed bakelite pieces. Good eye!

You know what, Caleb? I spoke too soon! I think of the lobster clasp as new, but wasn't thinking about how old I AM! I did a little research, and it was introduced in the '70s, and became fairly universal in the '90s. So you could find many vintage items with a lobster clasp. Your particular necklace is not likely to be the older type of vintage I'm thinking of, but they might be from the '80s or later.

Is that a name tag on the oval piece at the far end of the chain? What does it say??

It has a little logo. I think its a Cg or cursive g. Give me a moment and ill take a photo of it.

That kind of closure, with the adjustable chain and the little brand logo thingy to me speaks of fairly new... not older than 90s or 00s. But it's a cool thing, I'd have picked this up too!
