Need help identifying skin type

Hi there,

We recently came across an interesting pair of cowboy boots made by Nocona. They have a metal talon zipper, which I've never seen before, and I'm having trouble finding anything to compare it to. So what I'm wondering, though, is what type of animal skin is the vamp made of? Or anything other info about this boot
