Only 18 months behind schedule (remind me when asking a friend/webdesigner to 'help' with building websites in future make sure they are 1). not in a band that gigs every weekend and 2). not - for want of a better word - a hippy with no sense of urgency. lol!

Now I FINALLY get to start uploading photographs etc. for the delayed launch in April and I am having a lovely time looking over all my favourite bits and pieces (although will naturally will be secretly devastated if any one buys anything, but I have to keep reminding myself I can't afford to be JUST a collector!!)

Thought I'd share some of my favourites as I'm sorting through them...

candlelight satin wedding dress

handsewn silk satin halter

tulle wedding/prom dress and bolero

I think if I remarried it would be in that last one :) - or in linda's silk chiffon one... :D

I love seeing people's personal stashes - anyone else taken the photos and not been able to part company with the item lately?

You can always ask your husband for a renewal of vows ceremony :)

Or be a bride for halloween :)

Those are lovely, Harriet. I am ashamed to say I am hiding a few things too. Will have to look for pics later..

I'm having the same problem, except the hippy with no sense of urgency is...ME!!

Here are some of the pieces being held back for my website....although I may have to re-shoot some (see, THAT is why things take so long :()

thanks liz - although i can see me redoing them too, and maybe with a tripod next time :) . i keep checking your www address to see if you've launched yet - it will be absolute eye candy when you do!!

and yes i have to admit i think i am as much at fault as my dear webdesigner friend - with a combination of subconcious desire to keep it all (blatantly evident to everyone else) and my apparent lack of organisation making it look like there's no hurry!

i want to see more things now (and have just remembered i have a few more pics which i'll hunt down later).

oh yes and chris - i like the vow renewal idea! or any kind of dressing up in wedding dresses plan...although as my husband pointed out we haven't really earned much in the official celebration stakes. 5 years this year: isn't that cardboard or something? ;)

Harriet,

I am in :love008::wub::wub::wub: with the handmade silk halter dress. Knowing my luck it's priced out of my budget and doesn't fit.....but lordy would I love to feel that beauty on my skin!!!!!!

And Liz I love the first 2 dreses in your last row of pics.....

And all of you take breathtaking photos and can only hope once I move that I can finally have my own office to start taking pictures like that!!! And with a little more practice and classes!!!!

Harriet, I love the tulle dress w/bolero--I'd have to think about divorce & remarriage to get married in that! Liz, the deep red long one is to DIE for--I am a sap for red dresses....

Love, love, love, love the silk halter dress! What size is it?

Also love, love, love the black and white dress with the brown waist-

Where are you finding these wonderful items?

The silk halter is approx a US 8/10 I think, I need to check on the exact measurements. I actually bought it for myself on ebay a year or so ago - or rather my mother did as I was on holiday at the time so she was left with strict instructions on how much to bid!

I never seem to switch of my clothes 'radar' nowadays though, and find them anywhere and everywhere. The tulle wedding/prom dress was hanging above the stairs in an antique furniture centre looking very unloved so I had to bring it home. My husband didn't (and still doesn't really!) understand my need to rehome everything I see, so I have release a good few every now and then as a show of good faith! :)

I've known for a very long time that I'd never get rich selling vintage clothes as I keep too much of what I've found for myself!

I am learning to narrow the focus of my collecting, so that it is "collecting", and not "hording!" It's hard, though, especially knowing I'll never see it again.:(

Stunning dresses like those you all are showing are the hardest to let loose, imo. They are so special, and many are unique. But just think how lovely they are going to look on those long-awaited websites.:clapping:

**sigh**

all stunning and desirable, and I look forward to seeing them on the websites. I think I trump both of you guys in terms of website-procrastination though! I don't expect to get mine functioning for, er, some time now...
