Hi Sue,

That is fabulous! I could be wrong but this may be from Spain rather than Mexico. The embroidery on net is very like the shawls that come available from time to time and every one of the shawls that I've seen have been attributed to Spain. I don't have any other information about this work to confirm that but thought you'd like to havethe info.

Candy, I wondered about the origin of this. I have never seen
the embroidered net in any Mexican piece I have had. Thank you for the
info - I'm going to add it to my description.

What an intensely beautiful duo!
I have never seen one quite like this! The lucky winner is going to certainly turn more then a few heads. It has a sultry appeal, a mystery woman appeal... I can see Zoro's girlfriend or wife or love interest wearing this!

Definately has that Spanish flavor as mentioned above.

Sue, I am sending you picture via email.. but if you have the April Elle mag page 73 There is an Opi Nail polish ad called "The culture of color Mexico" that appears to have a skirt that is morphed from a vintage hand painted cotton skirt, a beaded belt/waist band and YOUR embroidered netting. A very cool pic actually..
