    Hi All,

Help please to date this Oscar de la Renta men's robe. I'm thinking 70s/80s based on the fact that it came from the estate of a man who was extremely large earlier in life but lost a great deal of weight in the 90s. I have no other clues.

    Thanks in advance.

The RN number estimated issue date doesn’t indicate when a garment is made but simply the earliest it could have been made. RN numbers are used for many years after issuance, sometimes for multiple decades.

As to your robe, I am not an expert in such garments but would have said 80s. Let’s see what others think.

Thank you, Mary Jane & Victoria,
    I agree with you - I'm going with 80s.
    Thanks again!
