Outlander fans? Lol House of fraser skirt?

I love Outlander been a fan since forever and reading the books now!
So when i saw this at SA i had to get it.

I found a brown just below the knee front button skirt. Made of acrylic poly and vicose

I cant decide between its dating. 60s or 70s?

The whole style to me just seems so far from what i usually see in those eras.

Size 14 is more like a size 6 in today


Here is a tag and photos of skirt inside and out. If anyone would give an opinion on when it was made i would appreciate it!

Are you in the USA? Because I think that's a UK skirt. House of Fraser is/was a UK department store (they still exist in some form, but they went into administration in 2018, and most of their stores were closed).

Never seen a 'Saint Tropez' line from HoF though. The care label (what I can see of it) looks very familiar to me, as someone who's handled a lot of 70s garments in the UK.

If I'm right it originated in the UK, the size 14 will be a UK size. Today this is approximately one size smaller than the same number in the USA, eg a UK 14 is a US 12. I imagine it was a similar difference back in the 70s.

Yes i am in the US. This skirt was found in Rochester NY.

I tried my best to find this line on Google and etsy and ebay and came up with nothing similar tag wise. Saint tropez is throwing me off completely.

But it makes sense if it is a UK department store. I have no knowledge of them in vintage

So house of fraser manufactured this skirt for a Saint Tropez line?

I was definitely leaning in the 70s direction . Thank you again

I'm guessing Saint Tropez was an in-house brand for the store, yes.

I'm not sure how much they did their own clothing lines though.
