Pantone’s Color of the Year: Living Coral
According to Pantone, the color for 2019 is an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge…Symbolizing our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits, Living Coral embodies our desire for playful expression.

This same need for joy may have been one reason for the use of variations of this color for fashion throughout the 20th-century—and long before. Precious genuine coral is prized as a gemstone, very popular for jewelry in the Victorian era, and with symbolic and decorative use dating back to prehistoric times.

This week look for vintage fashion and accessories from many eras in this vibrant hue…and help get the year off to a lively start!
