Wow!
The blk Abe Schraeder suit might be a Chanel knock off. Schraeder did copies for Chanel and there was a similar suit in wool in 1959. C

I had several thoughts:
1. There's no question that Schraeder would have gone to the shows for ideas or paid just to look at the collection. The latter might be a newer thing.
2. Does it have a 3-piece sleeve? or narrow panel on the jacket under the arm.
3. Those little ties look like Davidow but Schraeder wouldn't have copied Davidow so I wonder who first designed the ties.
4. Because of the quality, there's little doubt that it was a couture knock-off which Schraeder did well.

Why is it such a big ocean?! There's a few things I'd snap up if the intl shipping didn't rocket them out of my price range...including the Schraeder suit which is gorgeous and in a good size. I can't think why they wouldn't sell at these prices. :clueless:

Claire, the sleeve as two seams. The front sleeves has an armsceye seam and is cut on the bias. The back sleeve is cut in one wihtht eback body, kimono style and is on the bias as well.

It's a nice pice - why it hasn't moved I have no idea.

Oh Sara Jane, I so wish the USPS had kept their parcel post slow boat shipping for international packages! It's gotten soooo high for anything of any size.
