Pauline Trigere. Keep or sell?

Hi
Acquired this gorgeous Pauline Trigere silk outfit a few months ago. At least once a day I take it out and just stare at it. The workmanship and the fabric are amazing! I am so tempted to keep it. Though I'd never wear it for fear of spilling something on it! Any advice on whether it's worth saving as an investment or should I just try to sell it now? I sure could use the money!!LOL

My pictures don't do it justice. The color has more of a green tinge to it than what is showing on my monitor. Also, do you think 50s or early 60s?

That is beautiful! And so perfect for Spring. I honestly say if it fits you and you love it so much - you should keep it and FIND something to wear it to!

It's too often that many of us regret selling certain items just becuase we feared we'd never wear them or just for the money. The money will be gone all too soon, so if you love it as much as much as it seems you do - keep it!

That's lovely ,and I think maybe a little atypical for Trigere. I think of her working more in solids and textures.

The length makes me think 60s, the sleeves and shirred bust early 60s.

Lovely! I have an early 70s rather bohemian looking
silk Pauline Trigere, and I do the same as you...every so
often I take it out and look at it, think, should I list this? And
then put it back. IF mine fit me there would be no question that I would keep it!

The dress on yours makes me think early 60s, however
the jacket speaks more late 60s.

The measurements are 36-26-38 and it's in excellent condition. Small tear on the silk lining inside the bust area. Oh yeah, and the very end of the original belt is torn off. Here are some pix of the bodice. I just love all that ruching and you can see the print a whole lot better! Everytime I look at this outfit, I get all excited. Does anyone else get that delirious over their favorite vintage things or am I just weird? Ok, don't really answer that!!!!
