I am currently planning and seeking suggestions for the new year. Remember this is your board, so your thoughts and suggestions count!

If you are more comfortable sending a private message to me, that is fine too. Just hit the U2U button under my message and it will go right to me.

I would love a workshop on PURSES!! Something like the shoe workshop - How to tell their age, how to restore and clean them, all that good stuff!!!!

Purses, oh glorious purses!!

Which reminds me, I need to take a look at your new shop!! I haven't been there yet for fear of spending :P What an absolutely awesome idea for a store that was!!

I am glad people are jumping in!! SOme are very do-able and some are broader topics that can always be broken down too. Keep em coming!

I would love for someone to do a workshop on linens and textiles, especially going into depth on how to identify the difference in needlework such as tatting and crochet and lace.

Ooo, I'd love all of those. I always need lace help.

Western wear is another one...

What about a workshop on vintage hats and how to reshape and restore them. I have quite a few that need to be refurbished.

Agh, yes! I almost always need help even dating vintage hats.

Just thought I would update that

Workshops on:
Vintage Denim
and
Rockabilly (in honor of Viva Las Vegas)
are in the works!

Keep the requests flowing :)

dates to be announced when we have them.

The Rockabilly workshop encompassing fashion and culture is slated to begin

Wednesday, February 16, 2005

So Mark your calendars!

More workshops and learning experiences to come.

There will be a more official update or calendar later.

I second both the one on purses and on jewelry! This may be too narrow a focus, but I'd love to see something on Hawaiian wear--manufacturers, fabric, dating, pattern names or styles, etc.

We are scheduling a full workshop program this year to start a bit later..going into the summer as a series versus one at a time. If anyone has something they are interested in presenting something on their favorite topic in the future, send me a note.
