Since eBay is making it's (ahem) changes, I'm looking for other venues to sell on once I get everything together.

I know about babylon, of course & I just signed up as a user on Amazon. Does anyone sell on Amazon, & if so - how's that working for you?

Also, I've bookmarked Ruby Lane, but that'll have to be later. First place I'd want to sell is a cheap site, so I can accrue fast funds.

Any & all suggestions heartily appreciated!

This is a hard one that many of us are contemplating. There's also eCrater and Etsy - Main Street Mall (???) - eVintage Society ...

Any of them, as I understand it, will involve a lot of work to be successful and not sink to the bottom of the pile. By this I mean listing regularly and working on other promotional aspects, like blogging, to promote your sales.

Just a bit more information. Specialist Auction does advertise for the vintage and antique clothing section and I write my blog on items the sellers have at SA. Everyone gets featured in my blogs, just not all at once as it tends to overwhelm people. That information is also sent out on My Space from my own page and the myspace page for Specialist Auctions Vintage.

Blogging is not hard at all, and you don't need to do it everyday. 2-3 times a week with great posts is better than daily with crappy posts. I was able to get my store mention in magazines and was approached by stylists because of my blog.

I've been thinking of writing an eBook on how to use a blog to promote your store, or maybe a class or something. If anyone is interested in something like that, it might prompt me to get started ; P

Every blog has it's own style. Right now mine is concentrating on promoting all the vintage sellers at SA. At one time it was used just for me. That has changed and it's a lot more fun to write about other people's items.

Hi! I've been looking around a bunch at different malls. I'm opting for the free one right now, ecrater. The only reason I'm looking into the free selling site is because I'm going to promote my store with my own web site and blog. I have a friend who builds sites and he is going to teach me how to keep my ranking up on Google and Yahoo. I've cheked into eCrater, Babllyon mall, mainstreet, Etsy and Ruby Lane. Etsy seems to come up in key word searches rather well. I will check into Amazon. Haven't done that yet. Kam

eVintage Society will be launching member's selling pages here in the next few days....mine will go live soon. I get major traffic from being a member there to my site and will take advantage of having a page to sell from there too!
