Red/White Dotted Swiss 1940s & Edw. Lace Dress

Oh, very pretty Barbara!

Who is the model? Is she your daughter?

Reminds me i have to hurry up and place my bids on those wonderful shoesies. (decisions, decisions!)

Those are so nice, Barbara.

I would love for you to take pictures of your shop and show us:roll:

My model is a "friend of the store" who has become very dear to me! She has been visiting me since pregnant with her first child who is now eight. She comes and visits with son & daughter (now 4) and we all just have a grand ol time! The kids are learning very well how to "visit a store"! ;)

And mom loves to try on my early and tiny clothes!! Thanks for the compliments. She hasn't seen "the shoot" yet and am anxious for her to see it! Every young mother needs a pamper boost now and then, eh???? :)

A tour of the store??? hmmmm that'll be fun! Time for some new shots for the website anyway! Stay tuned.

Hey....... maybe we could take this idea and "offer it" as a thread or something to invite all of our members to show their B&M stores. Lord knows we can always use PR help to keep those front doors open! :o

The internet is great...... but there's nothing like "feely-touchy" shopping days!

That sounds great Barbara. I had a B&M idea in mind, but it wasn't cohesive. Just snap away and wait for my signal LOL. I am going to make a special place for them

Chris

They are lovely Barbara, and I would LOVE to see pics of your store!

Your model is perfect for them (she has two children and can wear these tiny clothes!! I hate her ~ joking! )

Sue

I know, she looks great for two kids. Some people just have the genes I guess. Went to school with one family who had 12 (!) (and btw the parents specifically intended that many - and nobody was adopted.), and the mother was slim. She looked like the oldest sister rather than the mom. I bet there were people who hated her. I completely digress though. :)

Chris..... Wonderful!!!! In my humble opinion.....

stores need the internet, auctions, house sales, flea markets etc because

internet needs stores
auctions need stores
garage sales need stores
flea markets need stores.

We all intermingle and depend on each other to keep the flow going!! So yippee! I'll have pics ready when you say the word!

:kiss2:

I'd LOVE to see the interiors of people's B&M stores!

Where exactly is Caledonia? I have a cousin in the central part of NY, who I really do owe a visit.

Lizzie

I have been to NY twice. Once i was suffering in Suffern on a business trip and then we spent 45 minutes in manhatten once (i wished we could have stayed longer!). Maybe i should stay longer next time i happen to be in the area LOL

arghhhh back to the dresses for a minute.... that cute little red/wht number only has 28 hits!!!!!!!! Anybody got some suggestions for a better title??

would she qualify for a "Patio party " ???? to fit into VTA theme??? or is it too late since it's already on??

whaaa .... :(

either 1) counters aren't working.

2) revise and put it in the wartime 40s category. Gals browse this category if they are reenactors.

2) more people might search colors than "patriotic". Maybe put in Red/White. Reminds me more of a valentine vs "red white and blue patriotic). I also keep thinking "WWII sweetheart". Wartime is searched.

3) take the size out of it and put measurement as sizes vary and folks search by flat measurements.

I might even take dotted swiss out. I think with fabrics like that you have to be knowledgeable to really know, people search by description.

Just some thoughts.
