Ricky Bo \'hilton hotel\' dress?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure this dress out. The label says: “ Hand Beaded Ricky Bo 24 ist FL., Hilton Hotel H.K.”. I presume the ‘FL’ stands for floor and the ‘H.K.’ for Hong Kong. I was just a bit confused by the Hilton hotel part. Would there have been some sort of boutique in the hotel, and would the hotel have been in Hong Kong or was that just where the dress was made? If anyone can shed any light on the matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, am I right at dating this dress as mid sixties? The hem has been taken up quite a bit, but exactly how much I’m not sure as its definitely been cut. Thanks

Yes, i found that one too. Unfortunately there isnt a picture of the label, and it dosent mention hilton hotel, which is the part that has got me stumped. Thanks for you help though :)

Maybe they had a boutique at the Hong Kong Hilton?

Definitely fits in with the idea of lots of well tailored things of the era coming from the increased business travel to Hong Kong.

I also agree on the date, and it's beautiful!

Most likely this did come from a shop inside the Hilton Hotel in Hong Kong, as Chris said. Upscale hotels in big tourist or business areas would (or still do--I wouldn't know--I haven't been in one in a long time!!!!) have high-end boutiques where they had fashions private-branded for them. Your dress must've not only been very expensive, but was probably considered quite "fashion-right"! Expensive for Hong Kong, but likely whoever from abroad bought it thought they were getting a great price! Harriet's right, I'd guess, about the tag--probably this was Suite 24, 1st Floor.
