Road trip yields a HERMES JACKET, a MISSONI and a Flax Dress

Yesterday my hubby and I went out of town to pick up a Corvette he bought...

Long story short, I will only go with him IF and only IF he agrees to make a few stops along the way for me...hahaha bribery...

We only stopped at one place on the way because A, I was completely HAPPY with what I found and B, by the time we picked up the car it was to late to stop anywhere else...

My first find was a 100% silk Missoni, I'll post pics later because the label on the dress confuses me as far as dating goes...

Second find was a NWT Long Linen Flax Dress, gorgeous!...

My third find was a Red Wool Jacket by Hermes... my husband and I scoured the store for a matching skirt or pants to no avail...:no:

I believe it is 80's, correct me if I'm wrong but it has huge shoulder pads and a total of 14 Metal Signature Buttons, (8 small, 6 large) and 1 Signature Plastic button on the inside.

Did I hit payday? And will it matter that there is no skirt or pants to match???

slacks (or skirt, or dress)!

It could be 80s, but it could be also an 80s/90s cusper

I remember short boxey jackets in the 80s but the more tapered at the bbottom with psuedomilitary influence would probably have been late 80s into early 90s or so even with the strong shoulder pags. But i am sure someone else knows better more specifically on Hermes
 
Wowweeeee!!! Score, and I LOVE your husband. I found me a good one too. man that is. He helps me scour. He helped me scour the dumpster for a dress I thought i threw out. Aw, love!

But about the Hermes, i could see that in a totally tailored ensemble, or casual with some well worn jeans and lots of necklaces. It's gorgeous!

It reminds me of my 9 to 5 days. i had the coolest navy blue suit at that time. i looked like a Lufthansa flight attendent though when i went to work. though i never owned an Hermes back then :)
 
I have an interesting request. Can you please post a close up one of the buttons? LOL I'd like to check them out and save it in my designer button file in case I find any that are loose.
