Say hello to our newest VFG member, Kate Sekules!

    We are delighted to welcome Kate Sekules @Sekules to VFG membership. First thing: I have it on good authority that Sekules is pronounced like Hercules.

    More things: Kate is an author - her most recent book is Mend: A Refashioning Manual & Manifesto (look for it in the VFG Amazon shop very soon). She started her website, Visible Mending, in 2015 5 years before the book, along the same themes, and it has continued to grow.

    Previous books reflect her previous careers as journalist (Frommer's Irreverent Guide to London and other travel guides) and boxer (The Boxer's Heart: A Woman Fighting).

    She is currently assistant professor of fashion history at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and visiting professor of mendology at Parsons. Her credentials go on from there, in terms of writing, lecturing and much more. In her spare time, she is also working on her PHD at Bard.
