Schiaparelli Slippers....... rare?

Hi everyone,
I recently found some Schiaparelli slippers in their original box. I knew she designed shoes but I have been unable to find any slippers out there.
Comprised of satin with a leather sole (not unlike ballet slippers) The original jeweled fan embellishment has been removed but I have them so they can just be sewn on.
This is my main question... The box has wear at the corners but is in sturdy working condition, the embellishments have been removed, the soles are dirty but you can still see the Schiap signature.... so there are some issues. Is this item rare enough that collectors would still find it desirable or does the condition really devalue it so much that it is not worth listing?

I'd think that even the box would be of interest. I haven't looked at Schiaparelli things in a while, but the competition for the hatboxes has always been quite healty, and this box is really neat with the pink on black.

As for the slippers, I've never seen any, and I thought I knew most of the Schiap stuff that was made in the 50s and 60s. If a collector is interested in them, then the condition will play a part, put I don't think it's to the point where it would totally discourage someone from bidding.

Wouldn't they look cute with a black printed circle skirt? Or black capris a' la Audrey...

I love Schiap and think most of her stuff sells. There is a big collector base. I watch her on eBay. It's very sporadic. Some scarves go up with a $25 opening bid and never get bid on. But others start at 4.99 and go up to $60. I think most of the shoes usually go. Also, those are cute. I bet someone would like to wear them regardless.

The stuff that really sells is early jewelry. The more unusual, the better. I saw a great lobster pin and earrings go for nearly $500 recently.

Michelle, I agree with Lizzie and Kevin. I think there will definitely be interest in them even though they are probably
60s (early?). Having the box also I think is a real plus.

Could you possibly sew the fans back on?
