sexy pink girdle very Monroe

This is so pretty! I think it is kind of strange that more colored girdles from the 50s aren't found. They are heavily advertised throughout the 50s, but most people must have just wanted white!

Do you think people were worried that the color would show through?

Or do you think they DID want pink, etc, and did buy them, and they wore them to threads, while black, which was only worn with special black dresses, or white, which was "standard" survive in decent enough condition. Or when someone finds leftovers from store inventory, they are all white because those were the leftovers folks didn't end up buying ?

Good questions, Chris. All I remember my mother ever owning was white.

I ran across a whole group of "new" ones yesterday. One was blue, one was pink, one black and about 3 white ones. They were priced a little high so I didn't buy them, but now I'm wishing I had bought just one - the blue maybe!

Louise, you hit the jackpot. That one is nice!

I think my Mother had a white and black one but not pink!

those garments were so beautifully made compared with todays versions. It is the first time I have been fortunate enough to find one in that colour. Normally they are beige or white.
