Sometime ago I asked for help removing those foam intersole pads from a pair of Chanel shoes. They had become stuck and I wanted to give the shoes away. I placed a slightly damp sponge on the pads for about an hour. Then carefully worked on the edge with a flat wooden stick-the kind doctors use when looking at your throat. I repeated this several times. All of the guck came out without damaging the Chanel label in the shoes.
