Now I'm not normally known for doing lots of 60s-70s stuff but..... O M G! I was invited to purchase from "the estate from heaven" of that era!

Bought 53 print mini dresses!!!.... 30pr shoes.... and scabs and ooodles more! AND I'm going back!

Here's the first 4 shoes I got done. Two are on this morning, the lucite goes on in a little bit......

ooohhh Barbara....yummy!

I NEED those orange patent leathers shoes if they are my size!!! I must have them! (i am serious!)

They are too narrow!!

the little "make them fit" devil is sitting on my shoulder prodding me with a pitchfork though as we speak.. !!!

(i wear 8M, but CAN fit into an 8.5 Narrow if its a really open shoe with no prob...but these might be a tiny bit of a stretch...(

maybe i need that "as seen on tv" show resizer....
 
Chris...give me a foot span measure on your tootsies and I'll double check for you. Since these were worn a few times they are "relaxed" and maybe maybe....

Talked to the woman today.... I'm going back Monday and buying her out! I had so much fun going through all these shoes. I know some boxes will be "blah" stuff but there are 4 closets FULL! :love008:

It's all very kicky fun!

...... and I can't wait to find the scarves and lingerie in there too hehehehe
 
my size 8M shoes are generally 3 1/8" acrossed the widest part of the sole at the ball of the foot. My platform shoes are 3.5" across the ball of the foot but those are special circumstances. :) And patent leathers, two tones, odd ball colors and spectators are what i usually look for. (my feet are a bit dramatic) . if there is anything like that in just a touch wider than narrow, you most likely have a bidder on something or other.
 
Anything in an 8 or 8.5 AA??:wub:

They need to measure 2 7/8" on the INSIDE of the insole, across the ball of the foot. 10 1/4" - 10 3/8" length inside, absolute front to back.

quick question....... what's the difference between just hi heels and stiletto?
Are stiletto shoes really hi? and pointy too? Is a shorter pointy heel a stiletto too?

2nd... got a catchy name for shoes from the 70s with that big chunky heel? not real tall .... just big and squarish.

Not to mention .... is there a good shoes library resource somewhere????

stilettos have the rod in the heel. It's not the height, though many are high. They are usually skinny heels. the short little pointed heel is today called a "kitten heel" but they are still stilletos. Check Jonathan's show workshop in the workshop forum for more detail.

That squarish chunky heel? I call them - already in my closet LOL. I love those chunky heels as they are so easy to walk in. i don't think there is a special name, but note it if they are also a "stacked" heel. some are a "square" heel.

Hey Barbara, NICE SOMBREROS..

those adorable 70s wooden heeled wedges...those are probably bigger than an 8 or at least very very wide at 3 3/4" acrossed the ball of the foot....
 
only one sombrero sold and it's going to land..... in Hungary! Interesting place for a Mexican Sombrero!

fun pair of gogo boots went on and just got a bid tonight.

As I'm strolling through the summery shoes and looking at all the suedes and leathers....can't wait for the fall swing! (Oh did I say THAAAAT?)

On sizes...I'm posting both the "shoe size' and actual measurements on the sole. Hopefully it'll give people enought info.
 
that is a place i would not normally think of for a sombrero to go...but maybe it makes sense since they are harder to come by there i would imagine :)

I am with you...i love fall shoes...they multiply!

and we still have a couple "garbage bags" left to reopen again and ooooodddles to shoot, wipe down, measure etc. Wow--what a job!! But I'm NOT complaining!!! :roll:
 
I see LIME GREEN SHOES. Please say they are 8M or 8B!!!

I have the perfect outfit to match the red and navy two tones too...and the white D'Orsays...and another pair of orange ones that probably won't fit me :)
