Six cotton day dresses... 30s?

I acquired quite a few of what appears to be new-old-stock cotton day dresses (mostly larger sizes). I've googled "Dorothy Dean" percale dresses and came up with a couple late 1930s newspaper ads. Same for the Pepperell Duchess Fabric. However, since this type of day dress seems to have been worn for decades, I'd appreciate some confirmation, please and thanks!

Gorgeous prints VV! I see '30s too, except for the Luv-Lee dress which looks early '40s and the purple print with the white bow, which looks late '40s. The green and pink wrap dresses with the collars: are they wrap or faux wrap? I think they could be late '40s too.

So I guess that's 2 x '30s and 4 x '40s.

I agree with Hollis' dating. Good find. House dresses in good condition and bigger sizes are hard to find.

Thank you, everyone, especially Nicole and Hollis for the help with dating these dresses. And yes, Pepper, that one still has the tag for 59 cents. And I did find a newspaper article from the late thirties advertising cotton dresses for just that cost! Nicole, the front bodices on those two dresses are made from two pieces that wrap one over the other, but the skirt portion of the dress does not wrap.
