Need to get these listed today and would like your help on dating, kws, comments, etc.<p>The first one is a brown tweed fitted coat with belted back. Too small for my dress form so could not button top button.<br><br> <img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed4.jpg><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed.jpg><br><br> <br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed3.jpg> <br><br> <br><br> <br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed6.jpg><br><br> <br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed9.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brtweed10.jpg><br><br>The next one is a Betty Rose brown wool cape with faux fur.<br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brfauxfurcape5.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brfauxfurcape6.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brfauxfurcape8.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brfauxfurcape10.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/brfauxfurcape11.jpg><br><br>Final one is a faux leopard print cape.<br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/leopardcape3.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/leopardcape5.jpg><br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/leopardcape6.jpg><br><br> <img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/leopardcape7.jpg><br><br> Now this is the only tag which looks like a cleaner's tag. Is this a date? Would this date it to 1979??<br><br><img src=http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/magnolia3/leopardcape9.jpg><br><br>Many thanks.

The first coat is early to mid 70s - I swear I owned this coat then. The Russian influenced cape is also 70s I think And the last leopard capelet - I am guessing 50s. The tag is indeed a drycleaners tag with their own numbering system, and it could be a date, but it would only indicate when the garment was cleaned at some point in its life, not when it was made.

Thank you so much, Hollis!! Now I can get to work listing!

That top one looks like an early 70's midi coat to me.

Can't help with the others and for some reason can't get the last two pics up

Oh I had left this and came back didn't see Hollis had answered

that sure brings back memories....i had an almost identical coat to the top one, only a bit lighter in color. I wore tons of hand me downs from my older cousins and that was one of the few things i absolutely loved! (so am total agreement with Hollis on that one). just one or about one to one a half sizes too small for me today and its not the kinda style you can "fudge" and wear too small and make it work. Used to wear it with a wool broad brimmed fedora when everyone else was doin the mall hair thing. I sure looked odd to the rest of 'em.

Chris, you gotta picture?? I would love to put it in my auction!

i don't think i do - my mother might and if she does i'll ask my sis to scan it over. actually, there were two coats. one was more like a real light oatmeal color - non tweed, with a pinkish lining that was convertible, could have it like yours is shown, or could button all the way up - and the other one was reallly lreally close to the one you have but slightly lighter and more in the gray family i think. They are still hanging in the closet at my mom's house i am pretty sure. I do however have one of the hats i wore with it in my posession that i still wear when i travel to a cooler climate. I can take a picture of that if you want it as a "suggested accessory".

Here are the two hats i still have. The winter white i wore with the oatmeal coat. I just took a peek at your listing...it looks great, and I would have already bid if only the bust was bigger. DANGIT!!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( so anyways, if you added coat+one of these hats+tucking a scarf into the front of the coat+ heeled boots - that was my exact winter look from mid mall hair era to mainstream grunge era.

oh, but the boots were more era apropriate. I had slouch boots then leather heeled boots, then combat boot inspired boots as the time went on : )

Those are gggrrrreaaat!! I will just grab one of those pics and show it as an appropriate accessory. Chris, will you be selling one of those? I could promote it in my auction. (or is that legal?)

Keven, I might just have a tweed man's coat. Let me look.
