I know how hard it is to find fabulous designer vintage in larger sizes, so I thought I'd give those of you seeking larger sizes a heads up on this before I list it on Monday night. It's a 1950s Harvey Berin evening gown in black silk satin with measurements of 44 - 33 - 44 in fabby condition. Amazingly simple and elegant. I would so not be selling it if it fit.

From the wonderful VFG label resource: Berin opened his business in 1921, and by the 1940s his was an important name in lady's clothing. His designer was Karen Stark, who adapted the latest styles from Paris each season. And even though Stark did the designing, Berin approved or rejected each design. They were best known for their feminine dresses and ensembles. Berin was a favorite of several First Ladies, including Pat Nixon and Ladybird Johnson. Harvey Berin closed in 1970.
That's a ery classy dress, and what a rare find in a larger size. It's really hard to find a good label like Berin in a larger size. Lizzie
